I am Nohemy Correa. I am Spanish artist based in Germany. I was born in Venezuela. I am the mother of beautiful Autistic twin girls. I have painted for over 20 years. I began as a self taught artist. My beginnings were in painting on ceramics. I progressed my desire of art and studied under different masters of art in Venezuela and Spain. My formal education includes studies at the Teresa Carreño National Academy of Fine Arts in Caracas Venezuela and at Bellas Artes at Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche in Altea Spain. My artistic disciplines are Anatomical drawing, Painting, Sculptures, and photography. However I am a very versatile artist, my work ranges from the abstract to the figurative.
I have made more than 20 solo art exhibitions. The countries where I have exhibited are Venezuela, Spain, Italy, and Morocco. In 2011 I placed third in the Medusa Aurea Exhibition of the Internazionale DÁrte Moderna Academy of Rome Italy.
I have practiced teaching to children and adults in my private workshop and in public institutions such as the Cultural House. Polop de la Marina. Spain.
In recent years, I have had to divide my time with motherhood activities, being the mother of autistic twins, it is very difficult to get to the brushes. However, I have achieved the balance to stay active and creative.
